Ce petit livre est fait à partir de ma collection de photos téléchargées à partir de divers sites d'entreprises liées au sexe au Japon. Je travaillais dans ce genre d'entreprise pour payer mes études d'art. Ces emplois sont lourds mentalement et physiquement. Mais le salaire élevé empêche la plupart d'entre nous d'arrêter avant que notre santé ne soit endommagée.
Les images ont été transformées par plusieurs procédés utilisant des imprimantes à jet d'encre pour rendre visibles ces dommages physiques et mentaux, les fatigues et les douleurs, qui se cachent derrière les poses séduisantes et les sourires des personnes sur les photos. Le livre a été imprimé sur un papier incompatible avec mon imprimante, pour que les images soient éphémères et fragiles, tout comme nos corps.
This little book is made from my collection of photos downloaded from various sex related business websites in Japan. I worked in this kind of company to pay for my art studies. These jobs are mentally and physically heavy. But the high pay prevents most of us from quitting before their health is damaged.
The images are transformed through several processes using inkjet printers to make visible these physical and mental damages, the fatigues and the pains, that hide behind the seductive poses and smiles of the people in the photos. The book is printed on an incompatible paper with my printer, so that the images are ephemeral and fragile like as our body.
